Major League Baseball Player. He was the New York Yankees' main catcher from 1914-17. He batted .286 in 1916, his best ever average. In 1918 he was traded to the St.Louis Browns where he bacmae a backup catcher for the remainder of his career. After one season in St.Louis, he was traded to the Cleveland Indians where he was part of the 1920 World Championship team. Over a 12 year career with Boston, New York, St.Louis and Cleveland, he accrued a lifetime average of .268 with 2 homeruns and 216 rbi's.
