Funeral services for Ella Mae Babineaux, 83, will be at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 18, from St. Lawrence Catholic Church of Mowata. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Eunice. Visitation is from 8 a.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Babineaux, a resident of Lake Charles and native of Mowata, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She belonged to Christ the King Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors include one daughter, Mercedes Aguillard and husband Jimmy of Lake Charles; one sister, Euna Vanicor of Welsh; eight grandchildren, Dr. Jeff Aguillard, Michelle Aguillard, Walter Aguillard Jr., Jody Aguillard, Nicolle Aguillard, Jude Aguillard, Jessica Foremon and Jordan Aguillard; and 14 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Moise, Edwin and Elzie LeJeune, and four sisters, Teolise Thibodeaux, Celise Blanchard, Mary Guillory and Edna Robertson.
