Wanda (Stroud) Day, age 66, daughter of Lloyd and Cecile (Jacks) Stroud was born December 28, 1941 in Springfield, MO. She went to be with Jesus with the family by her side on February 13, 2008 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO.

She was united in marriage on February 26, 1960 to the love of her life, Larry Day. They celebrated 47 years together. Wanda was a nurse for 35 years. She liked crafts, camping, gardening and working with flowers. She was an active member of the Grant Ave. Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir and the " 50's Up".

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Cecile; two sisters, Donzie and Carol.

She is survived by her husband Larry of Springfield, MO; one son, Kurtis Day and wife, Susan of Republic, MO; one daughter, Caren Tate and husband, Brad of Springfield, MO; Five grandchildren, Jessica Day, Brittney Day, Mackenzie Tate, Kaylee Tate and Colton Tate; one great grandchild, Nya Day, three brothers, Phillip Stroud, Louie Stroud and William Stroud and two sisters; Connie Bauer and Joan Ratliff.

Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2008 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at Grant Ave. Freewill Baptist Church, 1060 S. Grant, Springfield, MO 65807 on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2 PM. Interment will be at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens after the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Grant Ave., Freewill Baptist Church, 1060 S. Grant, Springfield, MO 65807
