PRINCETON — MSgt. Ellis Jarrell Marshall, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), 84, of Savannah, Ga., and formerly of Princeton, widower of Peggy Joylene Bush Marshall, died on his birthday, Saturday morning, February, 9, 2008, at Spanish Oaks Hospice.

Born in Page, he was a son of the late Orville Ellis Marshall and the late Effie Kathleen Bickford Marshall. Mr. Marshall was of the Protestant faith and served in the United States Army during World War II where he was in the second wave of D-Day. He retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and later retired after 20 years as the Bond Room supervisor at Gulfstream Aerospace. Mr. Marshall was a member of Maple Heights, Ohio Lodge No. 736 F. & A. M.

Surviving are two sons, David E. Marshall and his wife, Karen, and Robert E. Marshall and his wife, Kathy, all of Savannah, Ga.; four sisters, Helen Payne of Oak Hill, Lucille Swope of Princeton, Jessalyn Bailey of Ceredo, and Jewell Burton of Princeton; one brother, Donald W. Marshall of Princeton; six grandchildren, Kevin E. Marshall, Christopher M. Marshall and his wife, Michelle, Ethan D. Marshall, Timothy Besancenez, Korey Knutson and Kelsey Knutson; and one great-grandson, Connor J. Marshall.

The family received friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton.

Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home. Interment, with full military honors, will be in Resthaven Memorial Park, Princeton.

Seaver Funeral Home of Princeton and Gamble Funeral Service of Savannah are in charge of arrangements.
