William W. Baumgarten, age 84, of Loganville, died on Saturday, May 11, 2002 in the Sauk County Health Care Center. He was born on September 24, 1917 in the Town of Westfield, the son of William H. and Emma (Stolte)
Baumgarten. On September 24, 1950 he was married to the former Viola E. Krueger. Bill was a lifelong area farmer.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hillpoint and a former member of the Sauk County Farmers Union.
Survivors include his wife, Viola; three sons, Reuben (Annette) Baumgarten, of Mauston, Phillip (Dottie) Baumgarten, of Glenside, Pennsylvania and Wilbert (Rhonda) Baumgarten, of Watertown; nine grandchildren, Daisy, Amber, Travis, Joni, Kirk, Joshua, Matthey, Sarah and Elizabeth; two brothers, Edmund (Marie) Baumgarten of Oshkosh and Melvin Baumgarten, of Loganville; two sister-in-laws, Clara Baumgarten, of North Freedom and Mary Ellen Baumgarten, of Reedsburg; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Herbert, Martin, Otto, Erwin, Arthur and Paul.
Funeral services were conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hillpoint. Interment was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville.
