Vione (Tuggle) Ater, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away March 14, 2009.
She was born in Warrensburg, IL, on May 24, 1913 the daughter of James G. and Bessie A. Tuggle.
Vione was Past Matron of the Eastern Star. Before retiring, she was a buyer for Van Law Carols in Decatur. She retired to Sarasota in 1978 with her husband of more than 50 years, Bob Ater.
She is survived by her niece Kristy (David) Willis, her great nephew Cooper Willis and great niece Alicia (Jeremy) Gambell.
A memorial service was held in Sarasota. A private burial will be held at Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta at a later date.
