In 1975 she earned a German Television Award for Best Actress for her work "Maria's Last Trip," and in May 2007 she was the recipient of the German Film Award for Best Actress for her work in "Four Minutes." Her other notable works include: "Ludwig: Requiem for a Virgin King" (1972), "Run Lola Run" (1998), "Marlene" (2000), "Germania" (2002), "The Runaway" (2005), "The Heart is a Dark Forest" (2007), "Hilde" (2009) and the "Murder Farm" in 2009.
