Funeral services for Esther Marie LeJeune Bergeron, 87, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Nov 4, 2004 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with MSGR. James Gaddy officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Jennings, La. under direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Thursday. A Rosary will be said by Mary Louise (LeDoux) Cina at 6 p.m. today.
Mrs. Bergeron died at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov 2, 2004 at Jeff Davis Living Center. She was born on Jan 22, 1917. She was a native of Tepetate & a resident of Jennings. She was a member of Jennings Boat Club & the Lake Arthur Sewing Circle. She loved to sew for her children & friends & made Southern Belle & Bridal Dolls. She loved to dance & travel and never made an enemy.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law: Philip Gerald & Marlene (Fontenot) Bergeron of Jennings. Five daughters and sons-in-law: Betty Jane (Bergeron) & Placide Hebert of Lake Arthur, Loretta (Bergeron) LaBouve (deceased Nelson LaBouve), Mardrie "Marty" (Bergeron) & Alfred L. Dupuis of Lafayette, Jenora (Bergeron) & Harry Clemens of Willis, Tx., & Virgilian Bergeron of Jennings. Two brothers: Floyd & Louis Agesson LeJeune of Jennings, 31 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren & 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Tobert & Laura (Veronie) LeJeune, her husband Philip Bergeron, her daughter: Sherrell Bergeron Trahan, her step-son Lacy Joseph Bergeron, her son-in-law, Nelson LaBouve, two sisters & four brothers.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hebert, Jerry LaBouve, Mark T. Dupuis, Darrell James Hammons, Jr., Todd Bergeron & Scott Leger. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
