Funeral services were held at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Lake Charles for Marguerite "Peggy" LeJeune Barremore, 74, who died on July 1, 2009 at her residence. Burial followed at Estherwood Cemetery in Estherwood, LA.

Mrs. Barremore was born December 2, 1934 in Egan, LA and was a graduate of Estherwood High School. She had lived in Lake Charles since 1975.

Mrs. Barremore worked as a secretary for the Basic Studies Department at McNeese State University and later as the secretary for the vice-president of Academic Affairs at McNeese. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in both Lake Charles and Estherwood, LA, where she was a part of the Ladies Alter Society at both churches. She enjoyed reading and sewing.

Mrs. Barremore was survived by her husband, Kelley Barremore of Lake Charles; two sons, one daughter, one stepson, one brother, three sisters, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Martha LeJeune; brothers, Charles LeJeune, Phillip LeJeune, and Frederick LeJeune; and sisters, Nelda Trahan and Della King.
