Mabel Bell died at the home of her daughter Mrs. David Fairchild in Chevy Chase, Maryland. At her request she will be cremated and her ashes shall be buried beside her husband. Her ashes were interred in 7 Aug. Following her wishes, the time chosen was 5:00 p.m., the hour when for years she had joined Alec at the Laboratory to bring him home to the family.
