Betty A. Grubbs Coltman, 74, of Knoxville, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Mrs. Coltman was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Oak Ridge.

She was born in Baltimore, Md., on July 16, 1923, the daughter of Reginald R. and Mae Lee Grubbs.

She was a member of the Lady of the Elks, the St. Lucie Guild and the Karns Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. Coltman is survived by her husband, Ralph Coltman; two daughters, Susan Sanderson and her husband, David, of Savannah, Ga., and Diane Moore and her husband, Alan, of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Richard L. Coltman and his wife, Evelyn, of Waynesville, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Amber Morgan, Kinneil Coltman, Brian Moore, Davy Moore, Katie Moore, Kelly Moore, Neena Sanderson and Chip Sanderson; and by two great-grandchildren, Madison Morgan and Bailey Moore.

The funeral was to be held at 10 this morning, Dec. 1, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Burial was to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to the Council of Catholic Women, in care of St. Mary's Catholic Church, 327 Vermont Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
