Mrs. Lera Mae Gann Allen, age 85, died Saturday, October 12 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 13 at Fairview Church of God of Prophecy. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Thorne, the Rev. Leslie Porter and the Rev. Donnie Wooten officiating.
The daughter of the late Thomas Gann and the late Mattie Long, she was a housewife. She was the widow of the late John Harvey Allen and was a member of Fairview Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Marie Vance of Houston; three sons, Oscar All of Houston, Elkin Allen of Okolona and Wilburn Allen of Buena Vista; one brother, Richard Gann of Houston; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers were her grandsons and grandsons-in law-, H D Allen, Thomas E Allen, James Allen, Johnny Allen, John Lancaster and Eddie Brooks.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
