Mrs. Bertram Sue Allman, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life February 12, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Sue was born on January 4, 1933 in Dalton. S

he was a member of Five Springs Methodist Church.

Sue enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Allman was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years; William Allman; her parents; William and Willie Irene Stacy; sisters; Willene Stacy, Zaba Joseph, Mae Osbourne, and Clem Clements; brothers; W.C. Stacy, Jeff Stacy, Jack Stacy; a nephew; Matthew Stacy; father-in-law; Ed Allman.

Sue is survived by her children; Peggy Allman and Michael Smith, and William Garry Allman; brothers and sisters-in-law; Marvin and Sally Stacy, and Lamar and Julie Stacy; a sister-in-law; Emma Lee Newman; brothers-in-law; Rowe Allman and Claude Allmon; grandchildren; Donya Davis, Joanie Turner and Sadie Turner; great-grandchildren; Chloee Gazaway, Angelynn Leigh Davis, and Mathew Gazaway; a nephew; Tony Stacy; several other nieces and nephews; special friends; Betty Bryant, Darlene Smith, Taylor Pullen, Robin Lynn Bettencourt, The Weaver Family and The Fowler Family.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sue Allman will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Taylor officiating.

Tony Stacy, Taylor Pullen, Kris Calhoun, Mike Smith, and James Bates will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Colonial Hills Memorial Park in Dalton, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM.
