Elma M. Arthur, 82, of Spencer, passed away at Bloomington Hospital, Saturday, March 20, 2010. She was born in Jennings County on June 11, 1927 to George and Anna (Stryker) Graper.

Elma was a graduate of Dupont High School. She worked for Spencer Nazarene Day Care and provided home health care. She was a member of Spencer Nazarene Church, and enjoyed sewing and reading.

Mrs. Arthur is survived by four sons, Mike Arthur of Spencer, Mark Arthur of Illinois, David (Julie) Arthur of Spencer, and Tom (Tina) Arthur of Bowling Green, two daughters Peggy (Lloyd) Cooksey of Spencer, and Glenda (Jack) Macer of Martinsville, twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Arthur, two sons, Jeffrey and Wesley, and five siblings, Myrtle Lunsford, Emma Deal, Everett Graper, Ernest Graper, and Wesley Graper.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Rev. David Warren will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8pm Tuesday and 9-11am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
