Daughter of George August and Ruth Robertson Fischer. Loving mother of Kirsten Ruth, James Bruce and Mark Ingersoll Bowditch. A free spirit who positively touched and inspired many people. She taught English to Japanese in Tokyo, assisted in archaeological excavation of the steamboat "Bertrand" sunk April 1, 1865, Missouri Valley, Iowa, was mother to three wonderful children, and in many other ways made the world a much different and better place.
