Christopher was the son of Percy and Clara Hinkley and the brother of Henry. He was born in Gravesend on December 22nd 1915 and baptised on January 16th 1916 at St Botolph's church, Northfleet.

He died in August 1987 and was cremated at Hastings Crematorium.
