On September 1, 1913 Stanley was born in Jay, Oklahoma. He was raised in Jay. He was also born on his brother Cecil's 3rd birthday. His granddaughter Amanda was born on Papaw's birthday and his great granddaughter Grace was almost born on his birthday, but born on September 2nd.

His parents were William Logan and Malisie Kuykendall George. Stanley had eight siblings: Herman, Fred, Cecil, Riley, Everett, Fanny, Bessie and Estie.

Stanley married Dollie Oletta Fields on Dec. 19, 1936 in Fairland and together they had four daughters: Janelle, Karen, Sandra and Dianna.

They lived in Oklahoma and Kansas before moving to So. California in 1955 where they lived until Stanley retired in 1986. In 1986 they moved back to Fairland, Oklahoma.

Stanley was raised making music. He loved to play the guitar and could play the fiddle and piano just as well. He loved to play baseball and was played for a few years while they lived in Kansas. In the 60's and 70's, Stanley loved to bowl and was on several leagues a week. He could have easily gone pro, but didn't think he was good enough even though he bowled many 300 games. Stanley also loved to garden. He grew some of the largest zucchini squash and red tomatoes.

In So. California Stanley worked for Ecko Products for many years before taking a job as janitor at Rio Hondo College in Whittier. He was also the caretaker at Church In The Barn in El Monte for several years.

Stanley and Dollie's daughters:
Janelle has two children, and five grandchildren..
Karen has five children, and eleven grandchildren and three greats. (Karen passed away Feb. 18, 2018)
Sandra has two children, and three grandchildren, one great grandchild..
Dianna has two children, and one grandchild..

When Stanley and Dollie moved back to Oklahoma in 1986, Stan just enjoyed life. He enjoyed being close to his brothers, Cecil and Everett. Sadly, he passed away Feb 9, 1990 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. of cancer.

Stanley William George is my father and I miss him so very much.
