Hall of Fame Hockey Player. Born in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, he was considered one of the best American born hockey players of the early part of the 1900's. Goheen playing left-wing, was a member of the St. Paul Athletic Club team which won the McNaughton Trophies (1915-17), as United States' Amateur Hockey champions. After serving in the US Army during the First World War, he became a member of the 1920 United States hockey team that played in the Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium, bringing home a silver medal. He turned professional with the St. Paul Hockey Club and played for two seasons (1925-26). He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1952, Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame in 1958 and to the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 1973. He died at age 85 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
