Dr Martin, of Toronto died after a brief illness at the residence of his son in Seattle, W.T.,March 7th aged 69.
Dr Martin received his medical education at Rolphs school of Medicine, Toronto. After graduating he went to the United States and served as a surgeon in General Sheridan's Calvary during the Civil war.
After returning to Canada he commenced practice in Oshawa, and shortly afterwards removed to Lindsay from which town he came to Toronto and engaged in general practice about twenty five years ago. He soon acquired in the later city, a large practice and was very popular with his patients.
A widow and seven children survive.Three of his sons are practicing medicine in Seattle and one of his daughters is the wife of Dr Norman Allen of Toronto.
