Jared Pond --was born in Poultney,VT and was the first born son of the Honorable
Benjamin Pond (1768 -– 1814), and his mother was Abigail Ashley Pond (1770 - 1835)

1st wife- Betsey Peet Pond
2nd wife- Statira Bartlet

Jared died in Ann Arbor, MI

He was formerly engaged in the manufacture of iron, in Essex County, NY. In 1832 he moved to Middlebury, Knox County, Ohio and then to Cold Water, MI. He was a Representative in the Michigan Legislature for one or more terms. (not sure which year/s)
