Major League Baseball Player. He was a catcher and infielder, making his debut with the Indianapolis Hoosiers on April 20, 1888. For eight seasons, he played with the Indianapolis Hoosiers (1888-89), New York Giants (1890-91), St. Louis Browns (1892-93) and Philadelphia Phillies (1894-95). He ended his career with a record of 449 hits, 213 runs scored, 26 home runs, 216 runs batted in and a .245 batting average. He died at age 71 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
