Margaret Lee Denmark Coatney was a residence of Porterfield Nursing Home for the past eleven years. Mrs. Coatney was born on October 18, 1928 in Cedar Springs, Georgia, where she lived until marrying Noah Coatney, now deceased. Noah and Margaret moved to Davenport, Florida where they raised their two children- a son, Sam Coatney and a daughter, Nora Elizabeth, now deceased. She worked at the Dollar General retail store of Haines City, Florida until retirement. Mrs. Coatney was a member of the Church of God where she played a big part in the choir. She loved attending church, listening to gospel music, and sewing- but above all she loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Sam Coatney (Shirley) of Lizella; grandchildren, Joey Coatney of Montana, Jamie Coatney (Jasmine) of Homosassa, Florida, Tammy Farrens (Tim) of Haines City, Florida, Sherry Lowenberg (Jeff) of New Port Richie, Florida, Ada, Rickey, and Mickey Wills of Haines City, Florida; 14 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
This angel will be laid to rest 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the Garden of Time, Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Sherrill Campbell will officiate.
