Betty Rose Lash, age 68, of Killen, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at ECM Hospital. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in the chapel of Elkins Funeral Home, of Florence, with Brother Doug Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday May 10, 2010, at the funeral home. Mrs. Lash was a one-time member of Lee Heights Baptist Church. She loved tending to her flowers and cooking for her family. Mrs. Lash was preceded in death by her father, William Pounders, and her brothers, Pete, Joe and Terry Pounders. Mrs. Lash is survived by her loving husband, Jack Lash; her daughter, Jacqueline 'Jackie' Foster and her son-in-law, Tony Foster; her son, Brad Lash; her mother, Louise Lawson Pounders; her sisters, Pamela White, Sue Austin, Pat Thompson and husband, Shannon, and Nancy Pierce and husband, Jesse; her brothers, Jerry Pounders and Larry Pounders and wife, Sharon; 34 nieces and nephews; and many friends. Pallbearers will be Jesse Pierce, Josh Pierce, Terry Pounders Jr., Joey Daughtery, Stanley Lash and Stephen Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Lawson and Wayne Spurgeon. The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the 911 responders, Dr. Morris, Dr. Daugherty, Carl White, ECM Staff and the many friends and family for their help and support.
