Actor. Born Boris Michel Soso, for over four decades he was a versatile character performer best remembered for the role of gunfighter Harry Luck in the film "The Magnificent Seven" (1960). Trained in theatre at the Pasadena Playhouse, after serving in the US Army during World War II, he made his screen debut in "Heldorado" (1946). His other credits include "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950), "Run Silent, Run Deep" (1958), "Taras Bulba" (1962), "None But the Brave" (1965), and "Shampoo" (1975). For television, he appeared on "77 Sunset Strip", "Wanted: Dead or Live", "Kojak". "S.W.A.T.", "Law and Order", and "The Incredible Hulk." Dexter was briefly married to actress and singer Peggy Lee. They married and divorced in 1953. He was married to Star-Kist tuna heiress Mary Bogdanovich from January 27, 1971 until her death on June 12, 1994. In 1994, he married June Dyer and remained married until his death. He died of emphysema at age 85.
