Mrs. J.H. Blalock, Jacksonville, died Friday afternoon in a Vidalia hospital after a heart attack. She was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Tom Morris of Ailey. She was 78 years old, the daughter of the late Josh H. Griner and Mrs. Abbie Beasley Griner, Daisy.

Mrs. Blalock had lived with her daughter, Mrs. E.B. Mooney for the past fourteen years. She formerly lived in Daisy.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Beards Creek Church by Elder John H. Glisson. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Tom Banks, Glennville, Mrs. Tom Morris and Mrs. E.B. Mooney; two sons, Clifford Blalock, Jacksonville, Harold Blalock, Savannah; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, James A. Griner, Savannah and D.B. Griner, Claxton; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Dasher, Claxton, Mrs. Fred Dyess, Claxton, Mrs. Laile Weathers, Savannah.

Pallbearers were Darwin Durrence, Carlton Durrence, James Faircloth, Leslie Griner, Dan Cowart, Wilton Banks. Honorary pallbearers, Wright Medlock, Gordon Purcell, M.W. Mock, Gordon Durrence, Eben Banks, E.H. Anderson, Arthur Bowers, Cliff Dyess, Harvey Thrift and C.J. Chondelmaier.
