US Congressman. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he graduated from the University of Michigan in 1926 and engaged in the real estate and transportation business, (1927-1940). He was a member of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors (1941-52), served as executive secretary to the Mayor of Detroit, (1941-42), City Controller (1942-45), City Councilman (1947-52) and was secretary of the Detroit Wayne Joint Building Authority (1948-54). In 1953, he was elected as a Republican to the Eighty-third Congress, serving until 1955. After his term, he returned to the Detroit Wayne Joint Building Authority and was general manager until his death at age 70 in Dearborn, Michigan.
