Susan T. Brutchey at the age of 52, of Egg Harbor Township, died Jan. 24, 2011 at Shore Memorial Hospital. She resided in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. She was born in and formerly of Somers Point, she had lived in Longport and was an Egg Harbor Township resident for 22 years. She was a graduate of Mainland High School and the respiratory therapy program at ACC. She was a longtime photographer for the Current newspaper, and a longtime employee at Bally's Park Place Hotel and Casino. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel in Egg Harbor Township and was involved in its groundbreaking. She followed her children's Egg Harbor Township sports and loved all local youth sports. She was a former president of the Egg Harbor Township High School Eagles Booster Club.
She was predeceased by her parents Sophie T. Mendenhall and John R. Thomas Sr.
Survivors include her husband, a son and a daughter, a brother, two sisters, and extended family.
A mass of Christian burial was held Jan. 27 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Somers Point. Burial followed in Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Township.
