Catherine Ann Williams was a remarkable person. After graduating from Vina High School (Alabama) in 1982, Cathy attended the University of North Alabama in Florence. She was very active in the Baptist Student Union and several community service organizations. She was always helping others and always wearing a smile. Cathy fought to overcome many obstacles and never gave up trying to make something of herself. She loved the music of B.J. Thomas and I used to always sing "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" to her whenever we were together.

Many members of the Williams family suffered from Marfans Syndrome (a genetic heart defect). Several of the extended family members died at a young age. On Christmas morning 1985, Cathy was found dead; she had died in her sleep.

Note: Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery is located at 4085 County Hwy. 25, Hamilton, Alabama.
