Diane (68) was a bubbly, lovable determined girl. She came from a close knit Catholic family from Ohio. She loved Christmas cards. Her favorite color was royal blue. She loved Find A Grave. She adored "I Love Lucy" and she collected Lucy dolls and she was so proud of her collection. Her email address had the "I Love Lucy" theme in it: "DesiluRed."

Her Facebook biography photo featured Lucille Ball (pictured on this page) instead of Diane's photo. Diane loved being on Facebook and I remember her getting mad everytime Facebook would change into new formats. Everynight, Diane would sign off on her Facebook account by saying, "Goodnight Facebook buddies."

Diane loved Bob Hope, a lot of celebrities and "The Story of Babe Ruth." She also like the NY Yankees. Last Labor Day, she got to see Air Supply. She handed them flowers she got from WalMart and she gave the singer a kiss.

She adored her son, David, and her daughter-in-law, Imelda. She was so proud of her two grandsons and her brother, Warren.

Last Christmas, Diane was adament about leaving flowers at Christmas time for her relatives on Find A Grave. She made sure they were all covered.

Diane learned the computer late in life and she mastered it.

Diane adored working at WalMart.

Diane had breast cancer.

Dear Friends and Family:
Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep. Mom spent the last day of her life with 2 wonderful friends that flew in from Cleveland to be with her on Wednesday. They went shopping and had a ton of fun and they were planning on going on tour of Hoover Dam on Thursday.

We will be returning Mom to Cleveland and she will be burried beside her sister Arlene at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brookpark, OH.

Please turn to the internet for updates via www.ripepi.com

This is what Diane had to say about herself on her F.A.G. biography page:

I retired from Parma Hospital working there twenty-six years, my son and I decided to move to Vegas. It started as a joke at first. On my soap opera, "All My Children," Erica was in Vegas. I was joking with my son and asked him what he thought. That was in 2005. I said "OK!" Vegas for Christmas. Well the rest is history. I love it!!!
I have a brother Warren Jr, a sister named Shirley and another, sister Arlene, two cats, Mittens and Dusty. My son David is a licensed scuba diver and a ham operator. I want to thank a lot of the girls and guys that helped me with this. God Bless you all, please visit my parents and grandparents...Diane
Since this message, we lost Dusty, he was very ill, he had a enlarged heart,a blood clot on his left hind leg, the vet said it was time so we had him cremated, we have his ashes in a small wooden box, with a prayer card of St. Francis of Assisi and a candle. He is the patron of animals. The vet also gave us the poem called, "Crossing the Rainbow Bridge." Until we meet again, Mittens still misses Dusty. So do we.......we now lost Mittens on January of 2009. We miss them both so much, at times I find myself calling "Mittens...."

Diane was very sentimental about this poem that her late mother wrote to her son, David, and she wanted to make sure this poem was never erased from her mom, Carolyn Morley's F.A.G. site. The poem is called,

Rock-A-Bye, Davey

"Rock a bye, Davey, Davey is small. It won't be long and he will be tall. Although he's a baby and pretty soon he'll be a man and go to the moon. Mommy loves Davey, so honest and true, so always be good and don't make her blue. When his grandma gets old and grey, he will take care of her the rest of her days. And we will be so happy and we will be gay, and we will have a party every seventh of May."
