Maxine Webb, 75, of Ellettsville, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, October 28, 2011. She was born in Monroe County on April 29, 1936 to Ralph E. and Alice (Swafford) Medley, Sr. She attended Stinesville schools and later nursing. Maxine retired from nursing at Bloomington Hospital in 1994 where she worked on 3 West for many years. In 1990 she received the Mildred B. Kohr, Excellence in Nursing Award. She then worked at Jackson Creek Middle School in the cafeteria and most recently was working for Home Instead. Mrs. Webb enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, mushroom hunting, and volunteering at the RBB store. She was a member of the Old Dutch Community Church.

Maxine is survived by her three sons, Charles David (Shirley) Webb of Ellettsville, Douglas E. (Tina) Webb of Gosport and Mike D. Webb of Ellettsville; brothers, William "Bill" Medley of Williams and Ralph "Curly" Medley, Jr. of Ellettsville; sisters, Wilma Ward and Mary Alice Hunt of St. Petersburg, FL; and three grandchildren, Amber (David) Weddle, Tony Webb and Ashley Webb.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel E. "Boone" Webb, in 1996, brothers, Robert Medley, Charles Medley, Harold Medley and Donald Medley; and sister, Margaret Hopkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Old Dutch Community Church. Rev. Paul Shear will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Dutch Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Monday, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church in care of the funeral home.
