Félix López is my grandfather. He was born in Tepezalá, Aguascalientes, Mexico. Felix was, for a time, a Villista (one of Pancho Villa's soldiers) and fought in the Battle of Torreon. He married Juana Orona in Lerdo, Durango, Mexico in 1914. They had their first child in Lerdo and then moved to El Paso in search of a better life. There they had several more children. Felix was known as a very hard-working, intelligent and industrious man. He suffered a heart attack and died at the young age of 29 while working for the Santa Fe Railroad in New Mexico.
