Prince Edward Island Premier. Mathieson served as the Premier of Prince Edward Island from 1911 to 1917. He also served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, Member of the Executive Council, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Administrator of the Province of Prince Edward Island for six weeks in 1919, after the sudden death of Lieutenant-Governor Augustine C. MacDonald.
