BRAMMER, John T., Sr. 79, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 in the Forest Glen Health Campus.

He was born February 26, 1932 in Leatherwood, Ohio, the son of Averill and Geraldine (Waller) Brammer.

John is a graduate of Dawson-Bryant Coal Grove High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War and was also aboard the U.S.S. Bremerton out of San Francisco, California.

He worked for the Union Local 224 as a sheet metal construction worker for 35 plus years.

John was a very devoted husband and father and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Blanche Geraldine (Porter) Brammer; one daughter, Stacy (Bill) Hays of Springfield; two sons, John T. Brammer Jr. of Beavercreek, Ohio and Jeffrey Brammer of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Jean (Homer) Hankins of Gallipolis, Ohio and Emily (Bob) Little of Nashville, Tennessee and five grandchildren, Emily Brammer of Dayton, Ohio, Andrew Brammer of New Carlisle, Ohio, Tyler (Patty) Fout of Columbus, Ohio, Lauren Fout of Columbus, Ohio and Ryan Hays of Springfield, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Wilma Sites and one brother, Gerald Brammer.
Private services will be held at the convenience of family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
