ARDELL READ BECOMES MRS. ROBERT HORD FOLLOWING CEREMONY IN DIAMOND SPRINGS
Mr. and Mrs Robert Hord are making their home on Sacramento Hill Road near Weber Creek following their recent marriage in the Diamond Springs Community Church.
The bride is the former Ardell Read, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeru Read of Placerville. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Hord of this city."

Ardell attended Sacramento Junior College. Hord attended schools in Los Angeles prior to serving in the Army.

Ardell and Robert divorce 12 Dec 1978.

“While I was sexton of the El Dorado Cemetery between 1997 and 2002, I was informed by Toni Hord Walker, a relative, that Mrs. Ardell Hord's cremated remains had been scatter and not buried.”
**Since this is not confirmed we are leaving the memorial as is with this note on it so there will be something for future family to follow up on. PEH & SIH
