Professional Wrestler. Born in Portland, Oregon. In his early childhood he became friends with Rowdy Roddy Piper, a well known wrestler. Arthur met Piper while he worked with his father Sandy's Oregonian independent circuit. While at Oregon State University, Arthur became an accomplished amateur wrestler, having become a four-time district champion and a two-time state champion. He had to drop out of college to take care of his then pregnant wife. Arthur began working in a steel mill during the day while he began receiving training to become a wrestler from his father Sandy, his older brother Jesse Barr, and Matt Osborne at night. Arthur made his debut in 1987 working for his father’s PNW promotion in Oregon. In early 1989 Arthur was transformed into the gimmick "Beetlejuice" (sometimes spelled "Beetlegeus"”) by "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, creating a very popular and kid friendly gimmick based off the 1988 movie of the same name. Also in 1989, he pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse, he was fined, sentenced to community service and put on probation. Arthur joined World Championship Wrestling in 1990 and was renamed "The Juicer" in order to avoid copyright conflicts, but he retained his character. After leaving WCW, Arthur was brought into Mexico's Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre promotion by Konnan as a different character, he initially wrestled under a mask as "The American Love Machine". He left EMLL to join Konnan's newly formed Asistencia Asesoría y Administración promotion. As "The Love Machine" Art Barr, he debuted in AAA as a villain, and formed the tag team "La Pareja del Terror" (The Pair of Terror) with Eddie Guerrero. The pair were highly successful, as they would go on to win the World Tag Team Championship and become arguably the most hated tag team in lucha libre history. During this time he was also getting homesick, his wife and son were still in Oregon while he worked in Mexico, he turned to alcohol and drugs. Approximately three weeks after wrestling on “When Worlds Collide” Art died, initially it was believed that he died of an aneurysm but that was later changed to "unknown circumstances". After his death Eddie adopted Art's finisher the "Frog Splash" as his own finishing move in a tribute to his dead partner. Art was 28 years old at the time of his death.
