Classical Musician. Born Hans Schidlof, he was one of the most acclaimed viola players in history. He was a founder member of "The Amadeus Quartet" arguably the greatest string quartet of the 20th Century. Amongst the many honors bestowed unto Schidlof was the award of an O.B.E. in 1970, the Austrian Cross of Honour for services to art and science as well as being an honorary member of the Royal Academy of Music.
