Artist. Born Thora Klinckowstrom in Sweden, she moved to Paris in 1919, where she met fellow Swedish painter Nils Dardel. They married in 1921. She was the model for the heroine Svea in Raymond Radiguet's famous novel "The Devil In The Flesh" (1923), about a married woman who seduces a teenage boy. Dardel denied having an affair with Radiguet (who was 19 at the time), but she refused her husband's demands that she file a libel suit against him. She returned to Sweden in 1932 and divorced Nils Dardel two years later. Her memoirs, "Jag for till Paris" (1941), offer a scintillating portrait of bohemian Paris in the 1920s.
