Pfc. Carlyle Burk, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Burk, attended McClave High School. Entered the Marines in Oct., 1943. Trained at San Diego, Calif., and Bremerton, Wash. Served in Alaska. Awarded American Theatre, Asiatic Pacific and Victory Ribbons. Was discharged in April, 1946.
