Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tueday at Immanuel Lutheran church, the
Rev. Theo. F. Uetzmann officiating. Burial will be Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Mahnke was born in Manitowoc in 1893, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Giese. She was married to Herbert Mahnke in 1919 and the couple operated a
grocery store on North 11th street for 19 years.
Survivors are the husband; son, Raymond at home; two sisters, Mrs. John Glander
and Mrs. E.L. Pleuss of Manitowoc.
The body may be viewed at the Mittnacht-Kollath funeral home until 10 a.m.
Tuesday when it will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of
services. Mrs. Mahnke was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the Immanuel
Lutheran church.
