SUDDEN DEATH OVERTAKES MRS. MINNIE MARTENS
Mrs. Minnie Martens, 1616 Division street, died at her home early yesterday
afternoon, death being due to a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Martens was born in
Germany in 1844, coming to this country at the age of twenty and locating in
Manitowoc in 1905. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Mathilda Sass of Chicago,
Mrs. Johanna Poe and Miss Minnie Martens of this city, and a son Louis Martens
of Greeley, Colo. There are also seven grandchildren The funeral will be held
at the home, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Karl Machmiller
officiating at the service and interment will be in Evergreen.
