Major League Baseball Player. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was a catcher making his debut with the St. Louis Browns on April 18, 1936. For seven seasons, he played with the St. Louis Browns (1936-37), Washington Senators (1938-39, 1943) and Brooklyn Dodgers (1940-41). He concluded his career with a record of 157 hits, 58 runs scored, 69 runs batted in and a .233 batting average. He died at age 91 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
