Funeral services were held in Yakima, Friday, April 27 for Milton S. Akerill, a Glenwood resident much of his life, who died April 24 after an illness of five years. He had been a patient at the Veterans hospital in Walla Walla Washington during the last five months.
Mr. Akerill was born in Appleton Wa. April 28, 1919. He attended schols there graduating from Glenwood High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Africa during World War11.
He had lived at Glenwood until 1950, when he moved to Kelso. The family moved to Yakima, about three years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; four daughters, Kathyrn, Christina, Corinne, and Gwen, all of Yakima; two sisters Lucille Ward and Betty Hettrick, and a brother; Merle Akerill, all of Glenwood.
Services were at the Keith and Keith chapel, with interment at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima.
