I had my Grammy in my life for 29 years, one month, 17 days. I miss her very much and I know I will think of her daily for the rest of my life.

When I was 8, I moved 600 miles away with my parents to Colorado. My Grammy and I still kept in touch often. Originally, my Poppy and I were the closest, but as I got older and started to become a woman, my Grammy and I became very close. My Grammy knew all of my secrets. I could talk to her about anything and everything. Sometimes she would talk non-stop, but her talking is what I miss about her the most. My Grammy showed great strength through her life after losing both of her sons, me moving away and her 2 year battle with cancer. She taught me what it's like to be a true lady and what unconditional love looks like. This beautiful woman was not only my Grandmother, but my best friend. I absolutely cannot wait to see her again.
