Born to May Theresa Heinbuck and Paul Ray Heavener she was the oldest of two girls. Her younger sister is Laurie Heavener (Scaruffi). She also is survived by two older siblings from a prior marriage, they are twins, Jeanette and Johnny Brokaw. She married when she was 16 years old to Dennis Lynn Thomas, and they had one daughter, Annette Theresa Thomas in 1968. They soon divorced and she married William Roland Lagrand, they had a son, William Joseph LaGrand in 1973. She divorced William and married Joe Gatewood in 1981, which no children were born. They divorced in 1992. She then married Ellis Vern Spainhower in 1994, they divorced in 2000. She was a very active woman and very involved in both her childrens lives. She had three grandchildren from her daughter, Annette. Gary Timothy Bosse', Kayla Rose Goering and Bryceann Heaven Keys. She had Four grandchildren from her son William, Dylan LaGrand, Alexander LaGrand, Marin Danielle LaGrand, and Joseph Coffey LaGrand. Rose worked very hard her entire life to provide for her children. She was a giver not a taker, and was always willing to help. She held a remarkably close relationship to her grandchildren, as well as her children. She died at the young age of 51, in the arms of her daughter and sister. She had been diagnosed with cancer only days before her death. We all miss her very much, and know that when its time the DRAGONFLYS will bring us together again.
