My nephew David "Davey" came into this world late one Louisiana summer night. He made me into an Aunt Heather and I adored him. He was the sweetest child.

David grew into a handsome teenager who loved to do BMX bike tricks. He loved animals. He loved computers and insisted on having one of the first home computers.

He finished high school by taking courses at home, teaching himself and receiving a real diploma. Then he went on to learn CAD. He came to live with me for about a year. He worked hard and bought his first car, this huge, monsterous olive green cadillac. We started calling him the Cadillac Kid. That made him smile.

David met a young lady and fell head over heels in love with her. They married, but never had children. David was injured and eventually Tammy left for different horizons. He never stopped missing her.

Many years later, he met a nice, sweet lady named Linnie and they fell in love, which soothed his heart and soul. There is a comfort in knowing that.

David had serious, chronic health problems after his accident. One September, he caught a cold, which took him from our earth. He died in his sleep, early one morning. He was only 42.

Davey was cremated and his ashes were split between his brothers Chris, Jason and me. Chris and Jason scattered theirs. I still have mine and they reside next to my easy chair.

David is very missed by his family and Linnie. I love you, David. I know you're up there somewhere, exploring the stars with Uncle Cory and "Cramma Fedge".

David was preceded in death by his Uncle Cory, and his grandmother Fridge/Cramma Fedge.
