Born and raised in Cullman Co., Al., she was the oldest daughter of Alfred B. and Eula Bessie Brown Burks. She was the granddaughter of T.F. and Eliza Margaret Watters Burks, and the great-granddaughter of Alexander and Tabitha Milam Burks. All 3 of her siblings preceded her in death-Alfred Loyal Burks, Ora Hoyett Burks and Alla Bea Burks Alvis. She and her husband Fritz Mueller moved to Ohio from AL. in the early 1950's, where they would live the rest of their lives and raise their family. She was the mother of Alfred Vernon Parrish, Bobby Joe Kinney, Carl, Winford, and Clifford Mueller, Doris, Sandy and Dorothy. Sadly, Myrtle was also preceded in death by her husband Fritz, as well as 3 of her children, Alfred, Clifford and Sandy.
