Timothy F. Kotula, of Hanover, entered into God's loving Kingdom August 26.

He was the son of Phyllis (Strini) Kotula of Gettysburg, and the late Theodore F. Kotula, who departed this life March 1, 2004.

A member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover, Timothy was a graduate of the Delone Catholic High School class of 1981, and Shippensburg University class of 1985. He worked for Aetna and CIGNA Insurance companies before joining E.K. McConkey and Company Inc. in 1989, where he was the head of the Surety Bond Department, and Vice President/Corporate Secretary.

He was a member of the McSherrystown Moose, the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus, the Hanover Republican Club, the Hanover Country Club, and the Hanover YMCA.

Timothy played for years in the South Penn Baseball League for teams in Gettysburg, Cashtown, Brushtown and Arendtsville, as well as for Stovertown in the York Central League. He served as president of the St. Joseph Athletic Association, where he was a basketball coach in the CYO League for both St. Joseph's boys and girls teams. Timothy was also a coach for the Hanover Huskies football team, the South Hanover League, and South Hanover Junior League.

Timothy was the loving husband of Susan E. (McMaster) Kotula, to whom he was married to for 21 years and, in addition to her and also his mother, he is survived by three children, Joseph A. Kotula, David A. Kotula, and Lauren M. Kotula, all of Hanover; one brother, Raymond A. Kotula, of Westminster, MD; one sister, Kathleen M. Kotula, of Abbottstown; his maternal grandmother, Elena Strini, of Gettysburg; his paternal grandmother, Barbara Kotula, of Lucernemines, PA; his in-laws Robert and Rose McMaster, of Hanover; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his grandfathers, Peter Strini and Theodore Kotula, Sr.
