Dorothy was a homemaker during her early years of motherhood. She worked at the Carlsbad Nursing Home in Dry Ridge. Around 1969, she took a position at the Grant County Hospital as an aide. She had a little dachsund dog,named Inky. She also liked to draw, sketch, and paint.
