My grandmother was born in a small town outside of Venice, in Corbolone. Her parents were Luigi Zannon and Emma Pellegrini of San Stino di Livenza.
She was a sister to Idetta(Ida) Zannon, Odilla Zannon Vazzoler, Caterina Zannon Lazzer, Gemma Zannon and another sister (lived and died in Venice) and brother (buried in Corbolone), whose names have been lost with time. Her brother died from injuries sustained in WWI, soon after returning from war service in Africa at the closing of the war. He worked with canons.
She married Giulio Loroscopi at St. Marco Church, in St. Stino di Livenza, Corbolone, on the 30th of April, 1927.
My grandfather Giulio was the son of

She is the mother of Angelo Loroscopi, Celestina Loroscopi, and Valeria Loroscopi Woodward.
A humorous memory of my grandmother was her habit of ignoring my mother's instructions and handing us, her granddaughters, money under the table, literally, as we all sat down to eat. She'd then place her hand to her mouth and whisper to us to buy 'dolci' or sweets, glancing to the side at our mother and smiling. She could be 'birbante', or a rascal, with her grandchildren, and we loved her for it.
She used to tuck her handkerchiefs into her left sleeve and I remember they were scented of lavender.
We were with my grandmother before she died, and I would visit the small shops in her town. At every shop, I was greeted with a kiss and told how my grandmother bragged about us constantly; her family in America. They knew everything about us.
She was energetic and coherent up to her last few days.
My nonna passed away in her sleep.
