MY HEART IS FOREVER BROKEN
MY TEARS WILL ALWAYS FLOW
THIS MEMORIAL IS A SMALL TOKEN
TO THE SON I HAD TO LET GO!

YOU WILL NEVER FEEL MORE PAIN
AND FEELING MORE ALONE
UNTIL YOU SEE THEIR NAME
CHISELED IN THE STONE!
(Cindy Womble Billman)

Gordon Ray Womble, 46, passed away on December 30, 2014 at 11:15 pm at his home from cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), a rare and fatal cancer. He was first diagnosed in Nov., 2012 with a 6 month life expectancy. Dr. Javle and his team at M. D. Anderson with new treatments gave Gordon an additional year and a half for which the family is forever thankful.

Gordon was born on May 27, 1968 to Gerald Ray Lewis and Cindy Womble Lewis Billman at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, TX. (His name was legally changed to his mother's after his parents divorced) He attended Tyler Street Christian and graduated from Oak Cliff Christian Academy in 1986. He attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas for 2 years, before pursuing a career in fire alarms, most recently as Project Manager for PAC Systems.

His Grandpa Womble gave him his nickname "Hoss" after his favorite TV show "Bonanza" and Dan Blocker who portrayed the character of "Hoss". Now the two of them are together once again.

Gordon settled in the Hill Country almost 20 years ago. He met and married his only true love and soulmate, Heather, they were married on March 26, 1991.

In my 13+ years as a Contributor to FaG and the thousands of memorials that I have entered I never dreamed that I would ever have to enter one of my children. This was difficult but I am so glad to have been his mother!

I wish to thank everyone that has left a flower and or words of comfort, it has meant a lot to us! And I especially want to thank Virgil and DeAnna Hancock-Cooley who have been my FaG friends for many years & sponsored by son's page!
